The message from Tok Guru is very simple but deeply meaningful. However it can be lost if we wrap ourselves in all the trappings and superficialities of our so called modern life. Hopefully those who did not get the message will be fortunate enough to understand it at a later stage in their life. AS for me, I have repeated this to my colleagues to motivate them to plant their own tree of “knowledge/love and compassion”.

the making is really a surprise! to be honest, what the director says attract me more compared to the actual film itself….haha, not to be offended, it’s just more “easy to swallow”~~

This is the first time I hear and see Tok Guru talk… It’s true that he is always portrayed negatively in the media, but from what I heard from people who have encountered him before, or even experienced life in PAS-held states, he is actually a very kind person.
That’s why I really appreciate this film, because it gives us a better picture of Tok Guru, and also helps us understand a little bit more about Islam.
Being a Chinese, I’ve always wondered why my Malay friends who have many rambutan or durian trees prefer to give away their fruits to family and friends when they have a harvest, instead of selling them. Now I know why…

can stay in kelantan is 1 of my proud. here, everything goes as normal, peace and lesser political conflict.. tok guru was also a kind person. he could teach us how to be a good people. unexpected he chosen as a part of 15malaysian. it’s great..

I used to have a very prejudiced view about Nik Aziz, thanks to Malaysia’s local media and newspapers. However, as I grow older (and thanks to the wonders of modern info technology), I come to understand more about his teachings, which in my view is no much different from all the mainstream religions. Once you peel off all the fluff that wraps around a region, you will see they all share a common ground – be good and do good. What that irks me is the different ‘branding’ to a religion that our politicians come out with and the holier than thou mentality.

For those who never heard Tok Guru speak, this is your first step. Listen to what he say and think. Everything he said, relate to our lifestyle. Trust me! Even we have heard all those kind of analogies from Tok Guru, this can be a message for you who never heard and a tazkirah (peringatan) to those who always heard. Well done Amir!

Roh. A good sermon is a good sermon. Many (particularly non-muslims) have never even heard Tok Guru speak, let alone using the analogy of the tree. I think it is well worth repeating. Good job Amir!

good or not good shot is too subjective to each individual. if this film is meant for all malaysian, then, hey, i like the message as this is the 1st time i hear from Tok Guru. be it old or new, if the film message managed to make us think, n digested, i would absolutely appreciate the effort!
